Classical Christian Education

The Classical Christian Education (CCE) Curriculum restores time-tested pedagogical strategies and subjects in order to cultivate wisdom and virtue in our students and an appreciation for God’s goodness, truth, and beauty in creation. From the Trivium and Quadrivium, to Latin and Greek, to virtues and the great books; classical Christian methods sound foreign. But they have served the church for centuries. And, they are excelling today in Classical Christian schools like GCCA!

Our Philosophy of Education

A philosophy of education is a statement that outlines the core beliefs, purposes of learning and pedagogical models of a school. We believe that parents have a God-given right and charge to pursue excellence for their children’s education. In all things, we partner with families in the development of their child’s heart, head, and hands.

Grace Classical Christian Academy is participating in the Classical Christian renewal, a movement in which over 675,000 students across the United States are currently enrolled. A recent Forbes study predicted a continued growth rate of 5% of CCE schools, where parents have a hands-on role in their child’s education. Classical education has been around since at least the time of Plato and Aristotle. Classical Christian Education (CCE) unites the wisdom of these ancient teachers with the special revelation of Truth in Jesus Christ. CCE curriculum curates the good, true, and beautiful elements of civilizations from creation to modernity in all subjects. CCE believes in and pursue a logos, or a unifying principle, for all knowledge and action.

Though CCE graduates consistently score higher on standardized tests, we prioritize equipping students with the virtues necessary for self-learning, leading to success in all areas of future study. Our philosophy of education bears fruit not just for students, but for their neighbors as well. CCE operates within a Biblical worldview and trains students through the Trivium stages of learning, engages students in the great conversation, teaches classical languages, and cultivates the seven Christian virtues.

As a logocentric school, we believe that education is a Truth-seeking endeavor. God is the source of all Truth, so any truths we study in creation will ultimately lead us back to Him. We believe that the classical model for education provides the best way for our students to seek and find God’s truth. In this way, the truth of the gospel becomes the centerpoint of every school activity. We fearlessly pursue life-long learning across a broad range of subjects attending to all Christ has created. We offer a cohesive and restful school culture in which academics and co-curricular activities support one another and honor our values.
