In the sections below, you can read more information about the culture at GCCA! We offer co-curricular activities and adventures for our students to create life-long memories and joy in learning.

Humanities

A study of the vocabulary, history, geography, and literature that underlie the great achievements of Western civilization including an exposure to classical art, music, and poetry.

Science & Math

We teach a mastery-based approach to arithmetic skills, leading to success in higher maths like algebra, geometry, and calculus. We teach vocabulary, concepts, and observational skills that train students to appreciate the wonder of creation.

Latin

Latin is the foundation for learning modern languages, developing vocabulary and English grammar skills, and learning how to think critically.

Logic

Training in the meaning and classification of words, the truth of statements, and the validity of arguments to teach students how to defend their ideas and values.

Art Club

Our students participate in Art Club twice a week, where they learn to appreciate art and encourage their own creativity.

Latin Club

Students meet twice a month to explore the artistic, architectural and cultural wonders of Ancient Rome. Games, art projects, and mythological story-telling give students the opportunity to experience all the wonders of the ancient world

Athletics

GCCA is a member of the Alabama Christian Athletic Association (ACAA), providing opportunities to compete in Cross Country, Basketball, Cheer, Baseball, Softball, and Track.

Theatre

Beautiful words, compelling stories, and an opportunity to imagine life outside yourself are three reasons we believe Theatre to be a valuable activity for our students. Theatre is truly community building; it brings actors, directors, artists, and builders together to create a lovely experience for our parents and supporters

Weekly Schedule

Our weekly schedule is intended to give families time to reflect and bond based on what their students are learning.

M/W/F: 8-12:30 PM

T/TH: 8-2:00 PM

Excursions

We take monthly excursions to local sites and businesses. We also offer international trip opportunities. We participate in the state spelling bee and the Albertville Chamber of Commerce Junior Board.
